Climate legislation: I can't find anything good to say about it

Climate legislation threatens to increase energy prices just as the poorest in society are dealing with the crawl out of a recession. Carbon legislation will disproportionately hit the poor in society and the money will just end up in the pocket of rich bankers.

At the same time climate legislation is not really about the climate at all. The true motive is socialist wealth redistribution - a transfer of money from rich to poor. I am very much against giving money to the poor.

Couldn't we instead spend the zillions pegged for wind turbines and carbon taxes on real problems, such as tackling world poverty, ie giving money to the poor?

The harder I try, the more excuses I find.

whats this drivel, how could the poor even begin to understand just how terrible it is to crawl out of recession, did someone steal their dung or fill their hole in the middle of the road that they were living in with asphalt, well get over it the holes need to to filled so my hummer's tyres don't get dirty, what is wrong with finding a perfectly good TV box behind "the good guys" store to live in. whinge, grumble, moan that is all the poor go on about, and now they want to make them rich? don't they know that as soon as that happens then the government will take their money off them, leave the poor where they are , happy in the knowledge that money or even food is not everything, had to slip in this comment though didn't you

You can't legislate climate. Tonight it's going to snow here. That bit of info lets you know that I don't live in Hawaii. I fact I've never been in Hawaii, unlike a certain Head of State who was born in Kenya and Indonesia. But I digress...

No law can prevent it from snowing here tonight, just as no law can prevent or enforce hurricanes, cirrus clouds, and rainy days just when big outdoor events are scheduled, so any lawmaker who thinks they can legislate climate, weather, caribou migrations or penguins molting are off their rocker. That's arrogance for you. May a bolt of lightning flung by the almighty Zeus strike them down right now!

I'm cranky now because I'll have to shovel the white stuff (not laundry detergent) tomorrow, and because I've been thinking about liberals. I'd say "Don't get me started" but it's too late.

The best way we can help the poor is to be good role models which they can look up to. That will make them work harder. Hence we should spend the spend the zillions pegged for wind turbines and carbon taxes on ourselves. That is much better than giving them to the poor, who'd just waste them anyhow on things like ugly clothes and dull food and stupid education. We would just be doing them a disservice. Its much better to give it to people who can buy jet planes. Except for al'Gore.

  5. Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott was on Australian TV today with this placard prominently displayed:
"Say no to carbon tax 4 UN/IMF Global Gov = Agenda 21 Genocide"

The cat is now out of the bag, which it has been for some time now. UN must surely stand for UNgodly and IMF is unquestionably INFernal or diabolical. I realise it doesn't quite match, but some of our placard writing brethren, while scoring top points for enthusiasm, can unfortunately be total morans.

The UNgodly Agenda 21 can be readily found on the internet, and anyone with eyes to see can read between the lines even more readily.

The 'carbon trading scheme' is probably code for trading in souls which these ghouls are expecting to drastically reduce in number to increase the value of the remainder, thus solving the imaginary "problem" of poverty by enslaving a hugely reduced humanity in some heathen religion like communism or gaiaism as practised by leading climate scientists.

With no rich and no poor, only masters and slaves, the "problem" ceases to exist and Algore finally realises his dream of being President of the World.

Of course it sounds crazy now, but if we'd been told the four years ago that the USA would have a Kenyan President, who'd have believed it?

  7. We shouldn't give money to the poor! If we would do that, there wouldn't be any need anymore for charity, which is a duty for every Christian. And if we ever do get climate legislation, I want those "sceintists" to be put in jail every time it starts to rain or snow here.

  9. While I agree with the fact that Climate Scientists are pushing a scam for a variety of reasons you are not helping the cause for truth. The 0.1C temperature anomaly is not below the freezing point of water. The anomaly is referenced to the average temperature between 1970 something and what ever.... anyway it about 15C or 288 Kelvin. Your statement that it's below the freezing point so how can the poles be melting just shows you don't really understand the temperature data. Fix it up and do it fast before some Alarmist finds the mistake and makes you (and therefore the cause) look stupid. Poor research is for Alarmists. The skeptics must practice proper science. If you don't fix it I'll assume this is another alarmist front web site and I'll notify Marano at Climate Depot. We don't need this kind of amateur rubbish.
