Mosher Hacks the English Language

Image: University of Texas - click for related story (I hope this gets me out of using their bandwidth)

Someone called Mosher has written a dreadful WhatsUpWithIt article. I never realized you could use hacking in the context of 'hacking a deadline'!

Sorry for the snark but the WhatsUpWithIt blog steals so many of my commenter's that I sometimes get very jealous and critical of it!

  1. What a boring article is that. We're not going to win the battle with the Gorists with articles that have more than 10 sentences. It's sceintifically proven that men think of s** every 1.5 minutes, and women of new clothes, and nobody can read more than 10 sentences in 1.5 minutes. Anyone who needs more than that could just as well be an IPCCC insider.

  2. I understand your pain Infernal. Still, rbateman calls it right over at Wussup:

"They did anything, said anything, published anything, doctored anything, erased anything, blackballed anyone and denied anything the could to keep the gravy train rolling into thier slush funds. You want to sort through all that sticky mess to try and salvage it? That would be like trying to repair the WTC Towers after they pancacked.

Start over, it’s so bad you’d lose your shirt trying to repair the damage."

Well I for one value my shirt and don't like sticky and icky. Burn the whole friggin' thing to the ground and start over, that's what I say.

    Latest News,

Just after the very professionally discourtous publication of the ad hominem-stuffed piece of trash masquerading as a "scientific paper" that Menne and some other people with equally silly names got pushed through "peer-review", Watts and D'Aleo have published a report at the SPPI, showing what a sham the "global temperatures" are.

    I quote:

Of course there will be those who say “but it is not peer reviewed” as some scientific papers are. But the sections in it have been reviewed by thousands before being combined into this new document. We welcome constructive feedback on this compendium.

What a great tribute to Blog Science!

    In vino veritas.

    "UEA broke FoI law"!!!!!!

As of writing, neither the Heartland Institute, nor Climate Depot, nor the International Climate Science Coalition has covered this shocking story. Inferno, you should scoop them!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Dr Inferno, I am deeply disappointed in you. The WGII had some incorrect information in it, but, you not only a peer-to-peer reviewer, but also an auditor, missed it. It took one of those true believer AGW scientists to tell the world about it. Are you sure you really are an auditor?

Topped off with snide innuendo and unresearched, dribbling drivel.

And of course, you can tell it's a warmist because the whole post is nothing but
wall-to-wall ad hominem, with no science at all!

I'm afraid that Lord Monckton, my highly esteemed peer, is ahead of us on the subject of satellites.

A NASA satellite that would have measured atmospheric carbon dioxide with unprecedented accuracy fell into the Indian Ocean in February last year.

NASA said the crash was ''extremely disappointing''. Viscount Christopher Monckton of Brenchley, dubbed the ''high priest of climate sceptics'', doubts the space agency meant it.

''Not greatly to my surprise - indeed I predicted it - the satellite crashed on take-off because the last thing they want is real world hard data,'' he told a climate sceptics' lunch in South Yarra yesterday.

NASA understood that getting the satellite into orbit would have demonstrated ''the whole darn thing'' - climate-change science - ''is nonsense''.

The greatest British scientist ever, I say!

From the same article about the greatest living scientist of all ages, Lord Monckton:

His interests stretch beyond climate change. He makes the extraordinary claim, one that he admits sounds ''bonkers'', that he has also manufactured a cure to a long-term illness that attacked his endocrine system and patented the cure in conjunction with a British surgeon.

Though stressing it was in its early stages, he said the drug had had positive results treating HIV and multiple sclerosis. ''It also has been used to cure cases of colds, flu,'' he said.

No, Lord Monckton, that doesn't sound bonkers at all to me! That sounds brilliant! Personally, I have discovered a cure for impotens, bad breath and world starvation: it is called carbon dioxide(TM)!

''Not greatly to my surprise - indeed I predicted it - the satellite crashed on take-off because the last thing they want is real world hard data'' - that *truly* sounds bonkers, if I may say so, Amice. For sure NASA wouldn't have had any problems faking the data that would have come out of that satellite. Remember how they faked the entire landing on the moon? No, something more sinister is going on here...

    ReplyDelete
  16. Baron von Monckhofen4 February 2010 03:54

    GBBSE,

Surely it would have been easier to fake the data than to crash the satellite, but maybe they just didn't figure that out. Those NASA people aren't exactly rocket scientists, you know.

Good point Baron. On the other hand they knew that just dumping the thing off the cart like they did the other one, as per Inferno's previous photo-documentation project on that topic, would probably cost them their jobs this time. Can't be losing our TAXPAYER FUNDED jobs now by God. Better to send it into the ocean where it just looks like another freak accident. As for faking data, we're all on to that gig now, so that's getting a little more, shall we say, incovenient, for them. Citizen blog science is pushing this whole chaing of events, we can be sure of that.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ragged Edge of Reality4 February 2010 12:59

Wow these NASA guys are really serious when it comes to acting like they really want to get satellite data--they're going to send another one into the ocean! At taxpayer expense of course.

I think we can see the depths of the nefariousity that we're up against here.

  19. whistleblower from nasa4 February 2010 15:06

Ragged Edge, to be honest that's just a strategy to keep our TAXPAYER FUNDED jobs. We just dump the whole goddam thing in the ocean, oops sorry, now we have to build a new one! Let the TAXPAYER MONEY come in! And not that this bloody thing would have worked properly, by the way.

  20. Baron von Monckhofen5 February 2010 03:07

    Gentlemen,
I believe we are on to something now! Maybe there never was a satellite, but just some scrap assembled to look like one which was deliberately dumped into the sea to hide the entire scam! Maybe NASA spent the many billions budgeted for the project on booze, gambling and prostitutes. We have no reason to disbelieve this, so it must be true!

We should come up with some catchy name for this scandal. What about NASA-satellite- booze-gambling-prostitute-gate?

I warned him in comments last night..."Any decent blog scientist can tell this is just like those stalactites hanging over pools of water so it looks like stalagmites are underneath. Give us all a break. You obviously took a mirror, held it under the CO2 graph, and took a picture with your cellphone, and transmitted the image using photoshop and voila! your warmist graph. Don't let Denial Depot get ahold of this, it's too too perfect so it must be faked."
